William “Billy” L. Norse

Billy Norse advises individual and corporate clients on complex real estate transactions, including new and existing home purchase and sales, refinances and real estate title issues. Focused on client service, he works with agents, lenders, buyers, sellers, and investors to make sure all issues are resolved prior to closing ensuring a smooth transaction.
Billy also has extensive experience in estate planning and probate administration. He frequently speaks on issues relating to wills, trust and administration and is a Past Chair of the Elder Law Committee (YLD) for the State Bar of Georgia. In addition, Billy represents and serves as outside general counsel to several corporate clients, and has facilitated numerous business purchase and sale transactions. Billy also oversees a personal injury practice, and counts some of the best moments of his career helping families who lost loved ones due to the negligence and actions of others.
Prior to being a founding Partner of Weissman’s Savannah office, Billy was the owner and founder of the Norse Law Firm, and has worked for several other notable Savannah law firms gaining broad experience in many different legal practice areas. This experience has helped him identify and resolve ancillary issues that arise during real estate and estate planning transactions resulting in excellent outcomes. Billy is admitted to practice law in all Georgia and South Carolina trial courts, all Georgia appellate courts, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia.
He was a member of the Georgia Leadership Academy Class of 2011 and the Leadership Savannah Class of 2009. He’s been named one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers in Georgia, a Top 40 Under 40 Trial Lawyer in Georgia and a Who’s Who among American Professionals.
A lifelong Savannah resident, Billy firmly believes in service to others and the community. He currently serves as a member of the Chatham County Board of Voter Registration and on the Chatham County Law Library Board. He also serves as a member of the board for St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church (Past President) and the Savannah Chatham Citizens Advocacy. He is a former member of the Savannah Code Enforcement Appeals Board, the Mediation Center of Savannah, the Savannah Area Humane Society, and is past Past President of the Savannah Area Family Emergency shelter (S.A.F.E. Shelter).
In his spare time, Billy enjoys spending time with his wife and four daughters.
